It was harder to engage the stern, partly due to the edge, partly due to the outfitting (I was not right when I first tried it. LL thigh braces might as well no be there as, in my opinion, you have to be tight in the boat to engage your knees to the top of the hull, if you want to use your knees to edge. Outfitting is fairly good, though i have done the back band mod to raise the back band. Ample bow volume and rocker, just like the Phantom, helps the Rewind resurface and maintain speed after drops, while its slicey, low-volume stern turns every eddyline into a play opportunity.
PYRANHA RIPPER VS DAGGER REWIND CRACKER
The fire cracker is extremely nimble, easy to roll, easy to get the stern down, and very predictable. Dagger took the hint of the burgeoning popularity of such models and decided to up the ante with Rewind.
Having paddled both the fire cracker and the hot whip, I prefer the fire cracker.
